To create a new network connection, click
(Create a new item) in the item list bar.
The Network Connection dialog opens. It allows you to
configure a network connection.
- Enter a name for your network connection in the Name field.
- From the Interface drop-down list, select eth0.
- From the Type drop-down list, select the Static menu item.

Enter the IP address and the subnet mask for your network connection in the IP Addresses field.
Note: You receive the IP address from your provider.

Click
on the
right to add your entry to the list of IP addresses.
