Configure separately for IPv4 and IPv6 how your LANCOM R&S®Unified Firewall handles ICMP
echo requests to the firewall from the internal network and the Internet. The option is set to "Deny"
by default, but you can change this to "Allow" if required.
Important: While blocking ICMP echo requests can improve the security of your LANCOM R&S®Unified Firewall, it also makes any troubleshooting in the network difficult.
Therefore, if an error occurs in the network, we recommended setting this option to Allow
before you start troubleshooting.
