As a manufacturer of network components, LANCOM is a member of trade associations, organizations in the ICT industry and customer specific alliances, for example the German Hotel Association (IHA).

BITKOM BITKOM, Germany's federal association for information technology, telecommunications and new media, is Germany's largest ICT trade association. This organization promotes cooperation between its members in numerous working groups. IHA The German Hotel Association (IHA) is the national trade association for the hotel industry. Established in 1992, we represent more than 1,000 leading hotels in Germany ranging from hotels in the midscale market segment to hotels in the upper upscale and luxury category.

Our primary role is to lobby government across Germany and in Europe representing the views of the industry and promoting and protecting the interests of all operators in the industry.

We also provide members with a wide range of services designed to keep them informed of industry issues, help grow their business and save them money and time. More...

 

The Wi-Fi Alliance, originally founded in 1999 under the name of WECA (Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance) and now with about 300 member companies, certifies the products based on the IEEE 802.11 standards from different manufacturers to ensure the interoperability of the various wireless devices. In the past, many products did not fully implement the standards or they featured proprietary extensions. This often resulted in incompatibilities between different manufacturers' products.
