As of LCOS version 9.20, you have the option to enforce a predefined password policy for setting device passwords.
The switch Enforce device password policydetermines the following policies for the main device password and the administrator passwords:
- The length of the password is at least 8 characters.
- The password contains at least 3 of the 4 character classes, i.e. lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters.Note: Please note that this feature has no effect on existing passwords. Only when passwords are changed are they checked for their policy compliance.
