LANCOM LANCAPI: For ISDN in the LAN

With the LANCAPI from LANCOM Systems any workstation can make use of ISDN functions that are provided over the network and this without any additional hardware. This completely dispenses with the need to equip workstations with expensive equipment such as ISDN adapters or modems.

Dial-up network support: Data communication via ISDN

The Dial-up network support can be used for example for the remote configuration of another LANCOM device over ISDN. With the software various programs can establish Windows Dial-Up Networking connections. When you set up a new Dial-Up Networking connection you can select the communication device that is to be used. Select the entry 'LANCOM NDISWAN' for the LANCAPI. The Dial-up network support is part of the LANCOM LANCAPI and can be selected during installation.

CAPI Fax Modem: Fax from any PC via the network

The LANCOM CAPI Fax Modem provides you with a fax driver (Fax Class 1) under Windows. It is available free of charge and is suitable for single workstations or basic requirements. The driver provides fax applications or the Windows fax service with a virtual serial fax modem that has a single fax channel. The CAPI Fax Modem generates and detects fax tones ("soft fax"). LANCAPI uses the LAN to transmit these tones between the router and the ISDN network.
